About Us
24 Orë (24 Hours) is an Albanian-language online newspaper publishing news and analysis for Albanians everywhere in the world — in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, and across the Albanian diaspora, especially in the United States.
Our name is also our way of working: the newsroom follows events around the clock and publishes verified news as it happens, with the source clearly cited in every article.
What we cover
Albania and Kosovo: politics, economy, current affairs, society. The region: Greece, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia — with special attention to the Albanians of these countries. The world: the United States, Europe, the war in Ukraine, the US–Iran conflict, and major international developments. Sports: from Albanian championships to Europe’s top leagues and American sports. Culture and life: arts, film, theatre, exhibitions, books, technology, advice, and recipes. Opinion: voices of Albanian and diaspora authors.
Our principles
1. Speed with verification — we publish fast, but only after checking the news at its source.
2. Sources always cited — the reader always knows where the information comes from.
3. News separated from opinion — opinion pieces appear in their own section under the author’s name.
4. Transparent corrections — when we get something wrong, we correct it openly (see our Editorial and Corrections Policy).
Who we are
The newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief is Vjollca Selami. The newsroom is in Tirana, Albania: Pallatet “1 Maji”, No. 23, Entrance 1.
