AIM Survey: Three Key Issues for Albanian Families

A few days ago I conducted an electronic survey of adult residents, on behalf of the information company AIM. The survey sample included 1,350 randomly selected respondents from across the country. The sample was statistically weighted to represent the country’s adult population as closely as possible in demographic, geographic, educational and political terms. The maximum statistical margin of error was plus/minus 2.6%.

The main question was: “How is your family’s economic situation, compared to a year ago?“

The survey found that around a quarter of respondents are economically better off than a year ago, around half are about the same, and around a quarter are worse off. So, on average, the economic situation of Albanian families has not changed since last September. A similar result came out of a similar survey conducted in August.

The second question was: “How safe do your family members feel in the neighborhood/village where you live?“

The survey found that over 80% of respondents live in neighborhoods/villages that are safe for their family members. A similar result came out of a similar survey conducted in August.

The third question was: “Compared to a year ago, how is the healthcare system (based on your family’s and your social circle’s experiences)?“

The survey found that 28.2% of respondents think it is better than a year ago, 48.8% the same, and 23% worse. A similar result came out of a similar survey conducted in August.
