Arifi: We Will Never Allow Kurti and Vetëvendosje to Use Us Politically in the Name of Values

Alliance secretary Avni Arifi has commented on the latest political developments in the country, declaring firmly that his party will not allow itself to be used politically by anyone.

A guest on Klan Kosova’s “Rubikon” program, Arifi said political dynamics are determined by the party that won the most votes — Vetëvendosje with nearly 50 percent — while a party with seven deputies cannot set those dynamics.

According to him, the Alliance had made its offer before the elections, a very light offer, and the rejection of its demands should have been understood as a signal that Kurti was leading the country toward elections.

“We will never allow Albin Kurti, nor Vetëvendosje, to lead us by the nose in the name of any value, because as for the values that this people and this state stand for, it is known where we stand and where Kurti stands,” he said.
