Baraliu: Constitutional Court Ruling Clarified Dilemmas Around the Constitution of the Assembly, Was Right and Constructive

Constitutional law professor Mazllum Baraliu has praised the Constitutional Court’s ruling on the constitution of Kosovo’s Assembly, describing it as a right, constructive, affirmative and positive decision.

A guest on Klan Kosova’s “Edicioni Special” program, Baraliu said the ruling has clarified the dilemmas and uncertainties that existed around the constitution of the Assembly, at a time when the country is experiencing extraordinary political circumstances.

According to him, the Court faced a “whirlwind of contradictions” in the behavior of political parties, which acted in pursuit of their own goals, as well as the violation of the constitutional deadline for constituting the Assembly.

Baraliu said that, although at first glance the ruling may appear to contain contradictory elements, it is the right one: the Court has clarified the dilemmas and complaints of political entities, set deadlines and issued proper recommendations both for the verification of the Assembly’s constitution and for the government and president, with concrete deadlines.
