Concrete offer for Elseid Hysaj, Ascoli insist on the red-and-black defender

Hysaj is currently with the Albanian national team for the Nations League matches, even though he is still without a club.

After leaving Lazio, the right-back has not yet found a new home, so his name is circulating in the transfer market.

Ascoli aim to strengthen their defense and one option is Hysaj on a free transfer. According to the Italian sports press, there have been contacts between the parties in recent weeks. The first offer was rejected by the Shkodër player for financial reasons, even though in principle he had agreed to play for this team.

Ascoli are targeting promotion to Serie B and currently sit 5th after 5 matchdays, just 3 points off the top. The Italian club has proposed Hysaj another two-year contract, with a pay rise if Ascoli are promoted to Serie A.

The red-and-black defender has not yet given a final answer. Ascoli are insisting and hope to convince him, as they need Hysaj’s experience in their mission to climb to the elite.
