DP challenges Pishë Poro–Nartë project, Zhupa: Government decision undermines protected area

The Democratic Party has appealed to the Constitutional Court the Council of Ministers’ decision on the project in the Pishë Poro–Nartë area. According to the DP, the project aims to open the way for construction, bringing damage to the area.

“Since the VKM is irrefutable proof that it reduces the surface area, lowers the category, that there is no longer zoning for this protected area and that it directly affects it — and this in fact paved the way for Edi Rama’s construction plans, with projects published in the book ‘Albanian File’s,’ right inside a protected area. We deemed it right to come and take this VKM to the Constitutional Court,” said MP Ina Zhupa.

The Democrats call on the Constitutional Court to respect the Constitution and European standards on this issue.
