First snow whitens northern Montenegro — Kolašin 1600 covered as autumn begins

Even though autumn has only just arrived, the first snow has whitened the slopes and mountain landscapes around the “Kolašin 1600” ski center in northern Montenegro.

Footage from the resort’s cameras shows the snow layer forming on the higher reaches of Bjellasica. Fog and overcast weather have reduced visibility in the mountain area.

According to today’s weather forecast, unstable and cooler conditions are expected, with occasional rain, downpours and thunderstorms.

Drivers are advised to take extra care behind the wheel due to wet and slippery roads.
