“Hadestown” West End unveils new 2026 trailer as Danielle de Niese and Shaun Dooley lead new cast

The West End production of “Hadestown” has released a brand-new trailer for 2026, produced by Mann Bros, introducing the musical’s new London cast of the Tony-winning show.

The musical — with music, lyrics and book by Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin — tells two great love myths from antiquity: the story of Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of Hades and Persephone, in a post-industrial world where music remains the only hope.

The 2026 London cast is led by Olivier-winning soprano Danielle de Niese as Persephone, while noted film and television actor Shaun Dooley plays Hades. Fayth Ifil is Eurydice, Malinda Parris is Hermes, and Nathan Sykes of the famous group The Wanted takes the role of Orpheus. The company is completed by Melanie Bright, Spike Maxwell and Lauran Rae as the Fates, along with the Workers ensemble and swings.

Meanwhile, in 2025 the original Broadway cast reunited in London for a limited season, during which a live recording was made across three performances. The filmed version, titled “Hadestown: The Musical” — with André de Shields as Hermes, Eva Noblezada as Eurydice, Reeve Carney as Orpheus, Amber Gray as Persephone and Patrick Page as Hades — arrives in British cinemas next month.
