Man Arrested in Podujeva After Attempting to Damage a Business; Pistol Found in His Car

A man has been arrested in Podujeva after police found a firearm during a vehicle check.

At around 01:50, during the search, police found and seized a pistol with five rounds under the front passenger seat.

The same person is also suspected of having attempted to damage a business, raising suspicions of further unlawful activity.

After questioning, by decision of the duty prosecutor the suspect was placed in detention, while investigations into the case continue.

The Kosovo Police has repeatedly appealed for the voluntary surrender of unlicensed weapons, stressing that their illegal possession constitutes a criminal offense.
