Matthew Bourne’s “Cinderella” Turns 30: Full Cast of UK Tour Announced

New Adventures dance company has announced the full cast for the 2026–2027 UK tour of Matthew Bourne’s “Cinderella,” the production returning for its 30th anniversary. Hannah Kremer and Katrina Lyndon will share the role of Cinderella, while Reece Causton and Rory Macleod will play the heroic RAF pilot Harry. James Lovell, Andy Monaghan and Kingston Taylor will perform the Angel — this version’s “fairy godfather” — while Michela Meazza and Daisy West will be stepmother Sybil, with Nicole Kabera joining the cast during the tour.

The tour will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 16–21 November 2026, continue at The Lowry in Salford (24–28 November), then move to the annual Christmas season at Sadler’s Wells in London (1 December 2026 – 17 January 2027) — New Adventures’ 24th consecutive Christmas season on that stage — before visiting 14 more venues during 2027: Milton Keynes, Woking, Birmingham, Liverpool, Hull, Nottingham, Southampton, Cardiff, Canterbury, Bradford, Norwich, Glasgow, Newcastle and Edinburgh. In total, 17 venues across 24 weeks.

“It’s thrilling to welcome an almost entirely new cast to bring our epic wartime love story back to life for its 30th anniversary,” said Matthew Bourne. “In fact, apart from the wonderful Michela Meazza, who appeared in the original 1997 production, all the leads will take on these coveted roles for the first time this season. We are incredibly proud that 73 percent of the Cinderella company have come through our New Adventures talent development programmes.”

As part of the tour, Imperial War Museums will be the official partner: New Adventures will hold “Cinderella”-inspired dance workshops during the Big Story Festival on 25 and 26 October, based on the newest exhibition “Childhood in War”; the museum will host the cast for a research day at its exhibitions, and the show programme will include a discussion between set designer Lez Brotherston and curator James Taylor on the wartime artefacts that inspired the production design.

One of New Adventures’ most beloved productions, Bourne’s “Cinderella” is a love story set in Second World War London: a chance encounter gives Cinderella and her pilot one magical night before the horrors of the Blitz tear them apart. With Lez Brotherston’s Olivier Award-winning set design, Neil Austin’s lighting and Prokofiev’s majestic music, the production remains a moving tribute to the spirit of London at a time when every second counted.
