Monstat: Montenegro’s economy grew 3.3% in 2025 — GDP reached €8.27 billion

Montenegro’s economy posted real growth of 3.3 percent last year, according to data published by the Statistical Office (Monstat). Gross domestic product (GDP) in 2025 reached €8.27 billion, compared with €7.65 billion in 2024.

GDP per capita last year stood at €13,270, up from €12,260 a year earlier, Monstat data show.

Gross national income (GNI) reached €8.33 billion, or 100.7 percent of GDP, rising 9.3 percent in nominal terms compared with 2024.

The primary income balance with the rest of the world was positive at €61.5 million — €82.9 million more than in the comparative period. Income from direct, portfolio and other investments reached €151.5 million, 51.4 percent more than in 2024.

Compensation of employees from abroad totaled €378 million, 0.3 percent less than in 2024, while GNI per capita was €13,370.
