“Race for the Cure”: Prishtina Mall Goes Pink in Support of Women with Breast Cancer

A stand with pink T-shirts and other symbolic products has been set up at Prishtina Mall as part of breast cancer awareness month and the “Race for the Cure” campaign. The initiative aims to mobilize citizens and raise awareness of the importance of early detection of the disease.

The activity called on citizens to join in support of women affected by the illness, underscoring the importance of check-ups and early diagnosis.

Violeta Pirana, the director of the “Race for the Cure” organization, invited citizens to join the main event on September 27 at 11:00 a.m. at “Ibrahim Rugova” square in Prishtina, by registering and buying the symbolic T-shirts. She said participation is not only a way to raise awareness, but also a message of solidarity with patients battling the disease, survivors, and the families of those who have lost their lives.

Pirana stressed that the more people take part, the more motivation those affected will gain, and that the campaign has led to more check-ups, with a major impact on early detection of the disease.

Prishtina Mall is also backing the cause. Its CEO, Alvaro Costa, said the mall has a duty to support noble causes that touch the community and to help make them more visible, noting this is not its first collaboration with the Rilindja/Renaissance organization.

The main “Race for the Cure” event will be held on September 27, starting at 11:00 a.m., at “Ibrahim Rugova” square in Prishtina.
