Registration for the 6,000 Dinars Closes Tomorrow at Midnight — Payments Start Tuesday

Registration of adult citizens for the one-time payment of 6,000 dinars closes tomorrow at midnight, announced caretaker Finance Minister Siniša Mali. According to him, 1,656,549 citizens have registered for this payment so far, while 2,728,000 requests for verification of status in the Share Fund have been recorded through the Treasury Administration portal.

Only adult citizens who are not holders of rights under the Law on the Right to Free Shares can register for the 6,000 dinars; registration is done through the Treasury Administration portal. Those who are not sure whether they should register can still verify on the portal.

“The payment of the money starts on Tuesday, September 22, and will last until Friday, September 25,” Mali said. On Tuesday, citizens who receive their money from the Share Fund will be paid, as well as pensioners and recipients of cash social assistance. For citizens who registered specifically for the 6,000 dinars, payments start on Wednesday, September 23.

Mali said this payment is part of a broader support package for citizens, worth nearly one billion euros, which also includes one-time payments made earlier, cheaper medicines, vouchers for pensioners and the extension of the regulation on the energy-vulnerable buyer.
