Russian drone attack hits Kyiv: three injured, gas station and warehouses ablaze

At least three people were injured and several facilities, including warehouses and a gas station, were damaged in a Russian drone attack that struck Kyiv in the early hours of September 23, local authorities announced.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the three injured had been hospitalized by 9:00 a.m. local time. According to him, drone debris fell in the Solomianskyi district, between residential buildings, while a fire broke out in the area of a transport company.

Strikes were also recorded in the Holosiivskyi district, where a gas station and several warehouses were damaged. The full scale of the damage was not immediately clear, officials said.

The attack came on the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned Kyiv of a possible new large-scale Russian attack, citing intelligence reports.

According to reports, Russia has recently been using a new tactic, launching drone attacks in waves lasting several hours over the Ukrainian capital, aimed at testing air defenses.
