Russian strike on Zaporizhzhya: two women dead under rubble, private house destroyed

On Saturday morning, Russian forces carried out several strikes against the city of Zaporizhzhya in Ukraine, where two women were left dead after being trapped under the rubble of a private house.

According to preliminary data, a private house was completely destroyed by the strikes and immediately after the explosion a fire broke out in the building. It was initially reported that two people were trapped under the rubble.

Rescuers immediately began clearing the debris and the search operation. Around 6:37 in the morning, the body of a woman was pulled from the rubble, while a little later the body of a second woman was also found. Unfortunately, neither could be saved.

Besides the private house, one of the city markets of Zaporizhzhya was also damaged by the morning attack. Authorities are working to fully clarify the consequences of the attack and the extent of the destruction.
