Taylor Swift opens a new musical chapter with “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore”

Taylor Swift has surprised fans with another musical project. The 36-year-old singer has announced a new version of her 2025 album, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore”, to be released on Friday.

She shared the news herself through an Instagram post.

“About a year ago, you did something truly unbelievable. Something that completely stunned me… You gave ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ the biggest first week for an album in music history,” the singer wrote.

Swift revealed that after the album’s release, in October of last year, she traveled to Sweden together with her collaborators, Max Martin and Shellback, where she wrote more songs that would join the project.

The “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore” version will feature four new songs: “Patient Zero”, “Cleveland!”, “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon”. Swift said these songs were created out of gratitude to fans for the support and enthusiasm they showed for the album.

“I hope you like them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for the enthusiasm and the way you celebrated the album we created,” she said.

The announcement of the “Encore” version comes just one day after Swift confirmed the release of the song “Patient Zero”.

“I’ve been looking forward to telling you that my new song ‘Patient Zero’ will be released on September 25,” she wrote on Instagram.

The song is available for pre-order in three different CD versions, including an acoustic version and a piano version. Each version costs $3.99 and features different photos of the singer.
