Tirana hosts “Tiranathlon” this Sunday: the 4 roads where car traffic will be restricted and the city bus lines to be diverted

Now a tradition, Tirana will host the “Triathlon” — the sport that combines the three best-known and most-practiced disciplines into a single race: swimming, cycling, running.

For Sunday, to ensure the smooth running and organization of the “Tiranathlon” sports event, the Municipality of Tirana, in cooperation with the State Police, has drawn up a plan of measures for vehicle movement during the race.

The roads to be blocked are as follows:

To restrict vehicle traffic for the smooth running and organization of the “Tiranathlon 2026” sports event, at Helen Park near Farka Lake, on 27.09.2026 from 08:00 to 13:00, according to the following road segments:

– “Daxhit” street (starting from the intersection of “Daxhit” street with “Xhelal Molla” street, to the intersection of “Daxhit” street with “Vrapëve” street); including “Dëshmorët e Helikopterëve” street.

– Blvd. Zhan D’Ark, Blvd. Bajram Curri (the segment from the Shkozë bridge – the bridge at the intersection with “Selman Riza” street and “Kastriot Feska” street).

– The main interurban road (TEG – Shkozë Bridge);

– The segment of the city’s Great Ring Road (from the “Fresku Roundabout” node – TEG), where vehicles will be diverted to the “Fresku Roundabout” road with an exit to “Xhanfize Keko” street.

The itineraries of urban bus lines will be diverted as follows:

– Line No. 10/A “Materniteti i Ri – Qendër – Ish Fusha e Aviacionit” is diverted at the “Brryli” bridge temporarily.

– Line No. 10/C “Rrethrrotullimi Shkozë – Ish Fusha e Aviacionit” is temporarily suspended.

Traffic of emergency and State Police vehicles will continue normally on all the above itineraries.

The General Directorate of Planning, Investment and Public Works Monitoring, the General Directorate of Roads and Public Lighting, the General Directorate of City Promotion, Tirana Parking and the Municipal Police, in cooperation with the Regional Traffic Police Commissariat, are charged with implementing this order.
