UEFA Nations League: Albania Begins Preparations, Holds First Training Session Ahead of Belarus Clash
The Albanian national team has officially begun its camp in Tirana ahead of its next Nations League matches.
The red-and-blacks held their first training session today under coach Rolando Maran.
The players gathered in the capital and headed to the “House of Football,” where they also held the first training session of this camp.
The first session focused mainly on physical preparation. The technical staff opted for a controlled workload, taking into account that the players arrive after club commitments, while some of them also had long trips to join the national team.
For coach Maran, the first days of the camp will serve to recover the players and gradually prepare them for the official matches.
The red-and-blacks face a packed calendar, with four matches in two weeks.
Albania will face Belarus, Finland and San Marino, with the red-and-black team set to play the San Marino representative twice.
This is a special period for the national team, as the fixture calendar brings a high number of matches within a relatively short time.
The technical staff will aim to manage the players’ energy as well as possible, while the focus will be on preparing for each of the challenges awaiting the red-and-blacks.
The camp in Tirana will continue in the coming days, with the national team set to step up preparations for the first match.
