Yemen’s army: We shot down Houthi drones over Aden — civilians in Taiz should avoid Houthi routes

The Armed Forces of Yemen said air defenses intercepted and shot down Houthi explosive drones over the interim capital, Aden, before they hit civilian areas, as Al Jazeera reports. The military spokesperson said the forces remain on full alert and are prepared to confront any threat to civilians and critical infrastructure.
In parallel, Yemen’s army warned civilians in Taiz province to avoid roads used by Houthi forces for military movements and supplies, until further notice. In a statement, the military spokesperson said the warning aims to protect civilians and their property from the risks of military operations and applies to a number of roads in Taiz and the surrounding areas.
Residents were also asked not to approach Houthi military movements, gatherings or vehicles and to follow official instructions on road closures and movement. The army said the measures are precautionary and temporary.
