21-year-old arrested in Ferizaj after posting video with firearm

A 21-year-old with the initials SH.M. was escorted by police in Ferizaj after posting a video on social media in which he appeared with a firearm.

The case was uncovered on September 21, when the Investigations Unit of the Ferizaj Police Station received information that a video was circulating on social media showing the suspect with a firearm. After verifying the information, police officers identified and escorted the 21-year-old to the station.

During the search, police confiscated a gas pistol that the suspect had in his possession. By decision of the state prosecutor, a case was initiated for the criminal offense of “unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons.”

After being interviewed, the suspect was released under regular procedure, while investigations into the case continue.
