Anne Hathaway opts for an all-black look and brightens it with a rare Prada bag

Anne Hathaway recently set aside the bright palette of her maternity wardrobe and appeared in a simple, all-black combination. She wore a fitted top and wide stretch trousers, over which she draped a sheer blouse with a lace-trimmed neckline falling over the shoulders. Black sandals with a silver shimmer and simple accessories — silver hoop earrings, small rings and dark sunglasses — matched the look; for makeup she chose a hawthorn-toned lip and a burgundy manicure and pedicure.

As Harper’s Bazaar reports, the element that made the difference was the black-and-white jacquard Prada Cleo bag, first presented on the Fall/Winter 2021 runway under the creative direction of Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada. The model is a modern take on an iconic 1990s design; although it is no longer found on the brand’s official website, it appears on several second-hand resale platforms.

The actress is currently pregnant with her third child with husband Adam Shulman. She announced the news in July through a sweet video, while continuing to promote several film projects during the year.

Favouring clean lines and carefully chosen accessories, Hathaway showed that a monochrome outfit can be just as elegant during pregnancy; Harper’s Bazaar notes that the Prada Cleo bag gave her look a touch of luxury and character.
