Caitlin Clark And A’ja Wilson Headline AP’s 2026 All-WNBA Teams
Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson have been named to the Associated Press’s first All-WNBA team for the 2026 season, along with Olivia Miles, Kelsey Mitchell and Breanna Stewart.
As Bleacher Report reports, the AP second team included Angel Reese and Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream, Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings, Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces and Gabby Williams of the Golden State Valkyries. The same report also listed the All-Rookie team, featuring Azzi Fudd (Wings), Sydney Taylor (Chicago Sky), Flau’jae Johnson (Seattle Storm), Pauline Astier (New York Liberty) and Kiki Rice (Toronto Tempo).
A’ja Wilson was named AP Player of the Year, while Clark received the Comeback Player of the Year award and Reese was honored as Defensive Player of the Year. Clark led the Indiana Fever back to the playoffs with a career average of 22.3 points per game after missing most of last season through injury. Angel Reese averaged 1.8 steals and 7.3 defensive rebounds per game, while Wilson finished the season with averages of 26.2 points and 9.4 rebounds.
Olivia Miles was chosen Rookie of the Year after breaking the rookie scoring record held by Clark, while Jessica Shepard won the Most Improved Player award and Janelle Salaün was named Sixth Woman of the Year; Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve received the Coach of the Year award. According to Bleacher Report, voting for the WNBA awards was submitted recently and the season playoffs begin Sunday with first-round matchups.
