Carey Mulligan Stuns in a Royal Blue Gown at the 2026 Emmys
Carey Mulligan arrived at the 2026 Emmys ceremony wearing a royal blue gown that matched the event’s carpet. A piece from the Row’s Fall 2026 collection, the design was printed with an abstract white motif, had a strapless neckline, minimal seam lines, raw edges and a dramatic bow at the back.
As Harper’s Bazaar reports, Mulligan — nominated for her first Emmy and known as an actress and executive producer — was shortlisted in two major categories: Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in “Beef” and Limited/Anthology Series as executive producer. Among the actress nominees were also Claire Danes for “The Beast in Me”, Sally Field for “Remarkably Bright Creatures”, Sarah Pidgeon for “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” and Sarah Snook for “All Her Fault”. The series she produced was competing alongside “All Her Fault”, “The Beast in Me”, “DTF St. Louis” and “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette”.
Mulligan paired the gown with diamond earrings, a pearl ring and pointed-toe pumps in white. Her beauty look was simple and natural: light makeup and hair pulled back into a bun with a few loose strands falling gently.
Even though this was her first Emmy nomination, Mulligan has a well-established career: after her successful breakout in the film “An Education” (2009), she has received Oscar, Tony and Golden Globe nominations and won awards such as the BAFTA and Critics’ Choice, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
