Céline Dion embraces the fall trend in a draped Balenciaga gown

Céline Dion returned to the stage with her Paris residency that began on September 12 — her first tour in six years and her first since her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in 2022. Her repertoire includes her best-known hits, and her chosen outfits have been part of the show, as she treats every trip to the Plénitude Arena as a personal runway.

As Harper’s Bazaar reports, since arriving in Paris on August 28 Dion has been greeted every day by fans outside the Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris hotel, where she has waved, blown kisses and danced little dances. Her selections have included names such as Alaïa, Loewe, Givenchy, Tom Ford, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Jacquemus and Phoebe Philo, among others.

For a recent appearance she chose a draped Balenciaga gown: a light asymmetric corset tied with a gathered skirt and side cut-outs. The outfit was all in black, paired with Amina Muaddi suede sandals, large Courrèges shield-style sunglasses and gold earrings with a crystal-embellished petal shape, also by Balenciaga.

Dion gave the draped-fabric trend dominating this fall a clear interpretation, making it part of her street and stage look; according to Harper’s Bazaar, her style choices send a strong message about how today’s fashion intertwines elegance with experimental structure.
