Céline Dion returns to Paris in double-breasted jackets and refined style
Céline Dion is back before the public and began her new residency on September 12 at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre, where she will perform for the next four weeks and then return for a series of shows in May 2027. In the days before her stage debut she appeared in Paris in outfits by brands such as Alaïa and a fringed Loewe coat, while on opening night she wore creations by Dior, Schiaparelli, Givenchy and other designers.
As Harper’s Bazaar reports, earlier in the day Dion was photographed leaving the Le Royal Monceau hotel hours before going back on stage. She wore a black double-breasted blazer and straight trousers, with nothing under the jacket and one button left open for a split-hem effect. To complete the look she chose dark-toned accessories: a Peggy bag from The Row, round Givenchy sunglasses and black pointed shoes peeking from under the trousers. Over the jacket she had thrown a heavy striped gray overcoat, worn open over her shoulders, while large reflective earrings completed the outfits.
This residency marks her first shows since participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Before that, Dion had been forced to cancel the remainder of the Courage World Tour (2019–2020) due to health problems; in 2022 she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, an issue that affected her concert career.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, Dion’s comeback is praised for combining musical performance with a carefully curated styling presence, and her Paris appearances showed the singer seizing the moment to return with elegance and strength.
