Cvijanović Reports Konaković to SIPA for Abuse of Office

Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has filed a report with the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) against the country’s Foreign Minister, Elmedin Konaković, for abuse of office.

According to the Radio-Television of Republika Srpska (RTRS), Cvijanović filed the report because the competent services never provided her with any operational data against the persons Konaković declared “personae non grata”. She believes the minister abused his office, as such decisions require a basis in the reports of the competent services.

On September 8, Konaković declared the military attaché at the Serbian Embassy, Milan Dulanović, and the adviser of the representative of the Security Information Agency (BIA) at the Serbian Embassy, Darko Maksimović, “personae non grata”, giving them 48 hours to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Konaković reacted on Facebook: “Cvijanović is now reporting me to the very institutions she wanted to abolish… She reported me to SIPA and expects the BiH Prosecutor’s Office and the BiH Court to act.” He added that Cvijanović and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik had announced they would shut down precisely these institutions, but in the end voted together with the Troika coalition for the largest budget ever, which strengthens them. “Now they turn to them and file reports. Politics is a marathon and serious work. Populism is temporary,” Konaković wrote.
