Fire in Kreshpan, Fier brought under control; three suspected arsonists taken to police station

The fire registered today (28 September) in Kreshpan, Fier, has been brought under control by firefighters.

Firefighters and local residents were engaged in isolating the flames, while the operation also involved an Armed Forces helicopter, which intervened from the air.

Currently the situation has stabilised, but the area is still considered dangerous due to the burned surface and remaining hotspots.

Firefighters will stay on the ground overnight to monitor the zone and prevent the fire from reigniting.

Meanwhile, three people suspected of intentional arson have been taken to the police station. Police are continuing investigations to clarify the circumstances and determine responsibility for the incident.
