Gjini: Kurti sent me an invitation by SMS — I see neither seriousness nor goodwill
Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) leader Ardian Gjini revealed Monday evening that acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti sent him a meeting invitation via an SMS text message — an invitation in which, he said, he sees neither seriousness nor goodwill.
As Klan Kosova reported Monday evening, Gjini made the disclosure on the “Rubikon” talk show, where he spoke about his latest communication with the Vetëvendosje leader amid efforts to form new institutions. “He sent me an SMS,” Gjini said, adding that in this approach he sees “neither seriousness nor goodwill.”
According to Kosovo media, Kurti has sent invitations to political party leaders for meetings on forming the institutions. The Alliance declined the meeting with Kurti, sending him an official response in which, in the interest of transparency, it also published its letter with its demands.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo acted differently. Its leader, Bedri Hamza, confirmed Monday evening that he responded to Kurti’s invitation and is ready to meet tomorrow at 09:00, asking that the meeting be held in the Assembly, as institutional order requires.
Recall that Kurti and Hamza also met a day earlier — a meeting about which Hamza said they discussed the Assembly’s declaration on the Specialist Chambers verdict and the matter of the president, but no concrete names.
