Haradinaj after the Hague verdict: Unacceptable, unjust

Ramush Haradinaj reacted after the verdict of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague against the former KLA leaders, calling the decision unacceptable and unjust.

Haradinaj stated that the KLA war was a liberation war and that the battle for justice must continue at the other levels of the judiciary.

“Unacceptable, unjust. The KLA waged a just liberation war. The battle for justice must continue and be won at the second instance,” Haradinaj stated.

He stressed that the decision should not be seen as representative of his position or, in his view, of the people of Kosovo.

“Not in my name, not in the name of the people of Kosovo, a guilty verdict for the KLA,” he said.

Haradinaj also called for preserving Kosovo and respecting the sacrifice of the people who gave their lives during the war.

“Let us preserve Kosovo, for which the most precious people of our country gave their lives.”
