Kosovo signs agreement with Croatia on war documents
The Institute for Crimes Committed During the War in Kosovo (IKKL) has signed two cooperation agreements in Zagreb, one with the Croatian State Archives and the other with the Croatian Homeland War Memorial and Documentation Centre.
According to IKKL, the agreements are important for access to documentation held in Croatia, the exchange of professional experience and opportunities for joint research.
Cooperation has already begun in practice, with IKKL officials this week attending professional training at the Croatian State Archives.
During the visit, IKKL’s executive director, Atdhe Hetemi, presented the institute’s work so far and discussed the next steps of cooperation with representatives of the Croatian institutions.
With these two agreements, Croatia joins Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where IKKL has already established cooperation with state institutions.
IKKL has said that documentation on the war in Kosovo is held in many archives, inside and outside the country, and that cooperation with these institutions is part of the institute’s work.
