Name / Falls from the second floor of the house where he was carrying out works, 64-year-old dies in Gjirokastër! Police arrest the employer

A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in the “Varosh” neighbourhood of Gjirokastër, where a 64-year-old man lost his life after allegedly falling accidentally from the second floor of a house during works.

The victim is Agron Nika, 64 years old, a resident of Dimal, who had been taken on to carry out works at the house of the son of a citizen from Fier named Jani Fuli, who was arrested by the Gjirokastër Police.

The arrest was made for the criminal offence of “Violation of the rules on protection at work”.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution for further action, while investigations continue to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
