Prince Harry on returning and settling back into the United Kingdom
Prince Harry appeared in public on Thursday for the first time since returning to the United Kingdom, attending the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, south London. At the event he appeared in refined attire: a black suit, bow tie and military decorations.
As Harper’s Bazaar reports, a reporter from Hello! magazine asked him about settling in after the return and about the most special moment he has experienced so far; Harry joked in reply about whether he should share it, then admitted the past few weeks have been busy and eventful.
In mid-August it was announced that Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would move from Montecito, California to Great Britain, at least temporarily. No official reason was given for the move; among the mentioned factors are the organization of the Invictus Games in England in 2027 and reports of Meghan’s interest in an acting role in the Netflix series The Gentlemen, filmed in various parts of England.
The children, Archie, 7, and Lili, 5, have already started school, and Harry has quickly returned to public engagements. According to Harper’s Bazaar, it remains unclear whether he has reunited with his father, King Charles III, or his brother, Prince William; the king recently clarified that the move of Harry and Meghan does not change their status as non-working members and that they remain private citizens in the country.
