Rrustem Mustafa: A grand coalition for Kosovo — VV-PDK at a shared table with a clear deal
The lawmaker of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Rrustem Mustafa, said today that Kosovo needs a grand political agreement at this important moment — an agreement that brings unity, clarity and state direction, as KosovaPress reports in its evening edition.
In a Facebook post, Mustafa said that VV, PDK and the other parties should open a dialogue for a joint agreement built on the fundamental interests of the Republic. He mentioned three pillars that would guide this engagement: political unity and internal calm — coordinating political forces and civil society around the state interest; legal support — strengthening defense teams and ensuring the necessary legal support for future processes, with equal standards of justice; and diplomatic engagement — coordinated international action to present the story of Kosovo and the KLA with arguments, and to advance the interests of the Republic. Above all, he wrote, strengthening the strategic partnership with the United States and the West should be the shared orientation.
“This is not just a coming together around a moment,” Mustafa added — “it is an opportunity to build a political agreement with responsibility, objectives and a clear direction for Kosovo,” concluding: “VV, PDK and the other parties: one shared table, one clear agreement, one state direction. A GRAND COALITION FOR KOSOVO.”
The proposal comes on the same day that Parliament approved, with 99 votes in favor, a joint declaration on the Hague verdict against former KLA leaders, which the declaration calls unjust.
