Russian troops confiscate food delivered by drone from the Ukrainians in Oleshky: one killed and four wounded by mines
One person was killed and four others wounded by mines in occupied Oleshky over the past day, while Russian troops confiscated food delivered by drones from the Ukrainian army and questioned residents found with non-Russian products, Tetiana Hasanenko, the exiled head of the Oleshky Military Administration, announced on 30 September.
Four people were wounded while trying to leave the town, while a man who was gathering walnuts lost his life to another mine, as The Kyiv Independent reports. “These people left Oleshky at 6 in the morning… A woman suffered injuries to her back and limbs. She was taken to hospital by bicycle. The others were transported in garden wheelbarrows”, Hasanenko said.
The local hospital, according to her, operates without medicines, without electricity and without drinking water — only four elderly doctors continue to work there, in extraordinary conditions.
Hasanenko confirmed that Russian troops took part of the food delivered by drones from the Ukrainians. Residents found with non-Russian food products are immediately asked: “Where did you get this?” — and humanitarian aid is treated by them as proof of collaboration with the Ukrainian army.
Kherson Governor Oleksandr Prokudin said Russian forces are trying to disrupt humanitarian deliveries by shooting down the drones, confiscating the aid and arresting residents who accept help.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated on 30 September that Ukrainian intelligence has information that Russia is preparing to stage dozens of videos in Oleshky, in which residents will be forced to say that they are “happy, well fed and grateful to the Russian forces”.
