Spajić and Merz to open the Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit in Sveti Stefan
The Berlin Process Leaders’ Summit will be held on October 21 and 22 in Sveti Stefan. The decision was made at the Government meeting, announced Milica Perišić, advisor to the prime minister and national coordinator for the Berlin Process.
The summit will be opened by Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This is a top-level event that crowns Montenegro’s presidency of the Berlin Process, and will bring together leaders of the Western Balkan countries, the Berlin Process states, senior European Union officials and representatives of international organizations.
This summit comes after the EU–Western Balkans Summit held in June in Podgorica and is another proof of the administration’s readiness to organize top-level events, as well as its commitment to the country’s European integration.
On the eve of the summit, several ministerial meetings will be held: environment ministers meet today, September 18, in Žabljak; youth ministers meet on September 22 and 23 in Podgorica; economy ministers on September 30 in Cetinje; foreign ministers the following day in Budva; while ministers for Roma meet on October 8 in Podgorica.
The meeting of public administration ministers will be held on October 13 and 14 as part of the Digital Summit, while from October 12 to 14 a scientific conference will also be organized in Podgorica, together with the minister of education, science and innovation.
