Israeli army wounds three Palestinians near Hebron in the West Bank
Three young Palestinians were wounded on Sunday by Israeli army fire near Hebron in the occupied West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency Wafa reports, as Al Jazeera reports.
According to Wafa, Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition directly at a vehicle at the eastern entrance to the town of Bani Naim, east of Hebron. The extent of the wounded people’s injuries has not yet been made known.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that the Israeli army prevented its ambulance team from reaching the shot-at vehicle.
The incident occurs at a time when violence in the West Bank has increased significantly, in parallel with the expanded U.S.–Iran regional war and the clashes in Gaza and Lebanon.
The West Bank has seen a growing wave of Israeli military raids and tensions with settlers in recent months, while international attention remains focused on the fighting on the multiple fronts of the regional conflict.
