Spajić Thanks Boxing Champion Usyk: “The World Heard What a Beautiful Country We Have”

Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has publicly thanked Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk for his attitude toward Montenegro and his kind words about the country. In a post on X, Spajić called Usyk the undisputed world boxing champion and a symbol of the unbreakable Ukrainian spirit, whose greatness goes beyond sport.

“Thank you, Usyk, for making the whole world hear what a beautiful country we have! Montenegro cherishes people who respect it, love it and represent it with pride,” the Montenegrin prime minister wrote.

Spajić’s post follows the boxer’s praise for Montenegro, which has resonated widely. Usyk, one of the biggest names in world boxing today, is known not only for his success in the ring but also for his public messages about his country, Ukraine, in wartime.

The prime minister’s appreciation of the athlete’s gesture was met with positive comments on social media, where followers welcomed the friendship between the Ukrainian champion and the Montenegrin public.
