Spartak Moscow coach admits: Daku unhappy with his role

Spartak Moscow coach Vadim Romanov has declared that striker Mirlind Daku is not satisfied with his current position in the team and aims to have a more important role in the attack.

“Daku is a very quality footballer and goalscorer. We needed such a player, hungry for goals, aggressive and, in a way, selfish, who wants to always be the most dangerous on the field. I expect a lot from him. I see that he is in no way satisfied with his current position. He will do everything to be number one in attack,” Romanov declared.

“The 28-year-old Albanian moved to Spartak after three seasons at Rubin Kazan, where he was the team’s top scorer in each season, scoring a total of 35 goals in the Russian Premier League. In this championship’s first two matches with Rubin, Daku scored twice. After nine rounds, Spartak have collected 19 points and sit second.”
