‘The Holes’ extends Off-Broadway run: Max Wolf Friedlich’s new drama, executive-produced by Robert Pattinson, runs through 15 November
Just a week after opening night on 22 September, “The Holes”, the new drama by Max Wolf Friedlich, has extended its world premiere at The Wild Project Off-Broadway. As Playbill reports, the production, which was initially set to close on 18 October, will now run through 15 November.
The success has no shortage of star power either: the show’s executive producer is Robert Pattinson himself, through his company Icki Eneo Arlo — the company’s first entry into theatre. Friedlich returns to the New York stage after the breakout success of his critically acclaimed drama “JOB”, which transferred to Broadway shortly after its Off-Broadway premiere at the Connelly Theatre.
“The Holes” is performed by Bubba Weiler, Grantham Coleman, Tina Benko and Jack Mulhern, directed by Michael Herwitz. Set in a dilapidated bar in a rapidly gentrifying “upstate” town, where a locked back room promises pleasure, relief — and perhaps something far more dangerous. A dark comedy exploring “the great wars shaping our future”, pitting shame against desire, tradition against progress and community against individualism.
Tickets and further information can be found on the production’s official website, TheHolesPlay.com.
