Trepça Moves to Reclaim Property Near Pristina’s Faculty of Arts
The “Trepça” enterprise has begun clearing and reclaiming a parcel of land in Pristina, near the Faculty of Arts, for which it says it holds full ownership documentation.
This is what Burim Hajdini, official for property and asset management at “Trepça”, declared to KosovaPress. According to him, this parcel has not been in use by the enterprise since the post-war period, although the ownership documentation is in its hands.
Hajdini says “Trepça” has suffered major financial losses over the years as a result of its inability to use this property, while it also carries tax obligations worth thousands of euros.
According to him, the enterprise’s teams are in the field today to clear the parcel. “We are installing the fence and the Trepça signage. All the buildings around are Trepça property. With some premises we have already agreed to clear them as parking,” Hajdini said.
He announced that the enterprise has a contract with a state institution for the use of the parking lot, along with an additional annex, while vehicle owners will remove their vehicles themselves. Around this action, he said, the Inspectorate, the Municipality and the Police have been notified. Procedures for this parking lot, he says, began in 2024, with no concrete response from institutions.
Referring to market prices in that area, “Trepça” estimates around 45 thousand euros per month in rental income, or approximately 500 thousand euros per year.
