Vučić: October 5 is the day “the verdict on Serbia was handed down by the West” over Kosovo and Montenegro’s departure
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said on Sunday from the rally in Banoštor, where he announced the start of the election campaign for the extraordinary parliamentary elections, that October 5, 2000 is the day “the verdict on Serbia was handed down by the West” over Kosovo and Montenegro’s departure, and a blow to the Serbian people.
“October 5, 2000, the day when the West handed down the verdict on Serbia, the loss of Kosovo and Montenegro. Because they did not need a country like ours. They needed a landless country, a state that had nothing. They wanted us to lose everything: the army, the police, national security, and that Serbia would be a servant,” Vučić said, Tanjug reports.
“All the elections, and even today, if you ask me what their essence is, they are whether we will be free, independent, or servants of those who do not love us. Whether Serbia can decide for itself, or whether others will decide for us,” Vučić said.
