After nearly two decades, Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz return for “The Mummy 4”
Fans of “The Mummy” saga have reason to be excited. Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are back filming the fourth movie in the series, reprising the iconic roles of Rick and Evelyn O’Connell.
Brendan Fraser, 57, was photographed at a former military base in Suffolk, England, filming an action scene. The actor appeared in his character’s signature outfit, while one of the scenes also featured a vintage race car.

Meanwhile, Rachel Weisz was filming in London. The actress returns as archaeologist Evelyn Carnahan and was photographed near the British Museum, wearing a costume fitting the film’s period.

Weisz wore a short brown jacket, a mustard polka-dot skirt and a hat. In her hands she carried a leather bag and a camera, bringing the look of Evelyn Carnahan back to the screen.

Fraser and Weisz first joined the saga in 1999 with “The Mummy”. The duo returned in 2001 with “The Mummy Returns”, but Weisz did not take part in the third film, “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”, released in 2008.
Her return in the fourth film thus marks a long-awaited reunion of the saga’s two original protagonists.
The cast of “The Mummy 4” is also expected to include Oded Fehr, John Hannah and Kevin J. O’Connor.
Plot details have not yet been made public, while the film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known for “Ready or Not” and the new “Scream” films.
“The Mummy 4” is expected to be released in October 2027.
