“Akademski plenum”: Vučić and the SNS are trying to turn the students’ campaign “into provocations, clashes and violence”

The informal group of academics “Akademski plenum” has accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) of trying to turn the students’ campaign “into provocations, clashes and violence,” as N1 reports.

The group claims the incidents during the students’ meetings with citizens, especially during their visits to Republika Srpska, were orchestrated by the authorities in order to discredit the protest movement.

“Akademski plenum” called for peaceful and democratic elections and for the demands of the students to be respected.

The student movement has not yet responded to the accusations.
