Albania’s EU integration: Rama says he is in constant contact with Marta Kos, Trump also welcome in the Union

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about Albania’s progress toward European Union membership and the government’s priorities for the country’s integration future.

Rama said Europe must be bigger and more complete, adding that he welcomes everyone, including US President Donald Trump.

“We are in contact with Marta Kos, we continue to work. We are on track to close the chapters. She cannot set a date. Doing that would be losing the bet. The idea is to move forward every day and things may turn out better.

Let Canada be, and Australia too if it wants. Europe must be bigger. Whoever wants is welcome to come. I welcome everyone to become part of the EU. Even Trump, if he wants to become part of Europe,” Rama said.
