Alliance: We Support Every Legal Initiative for Justice for the KLA Leaders in The Hague

The Alliance has declared it supports every legal and democratic initiative aimed at delivering justice in the judicial process against the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in The Hague.

In a statement, the party stressed that its institutional stance on this process remains unchanged.

“The Alliance, remaining consistent with its institutional stance from the outset, supports every legal and democratic initiative aimed at delivering justice in the judicial process against the KLA leaders in The Hague,” the statement said.

The Alliance also reiterated its position that the KLA’s war for Kosovo’s liberation was just.

“Believing deeply that the Kosovo people’s war for freedom, led by the Kosovo Liberation Army, was just, pure and unavoidable, we stand firmly by our convictions,” the Alliance declared.

The party expressed its belief that the former KLA leaders facing trial in The Hague — Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi — will be acquitted.

“We believe that at the end of this process, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi will emerge innocent,” the statement continued.

The Alliance called on Kosovo’s institutions to engage in supporting the process, stressing that the goal must be for it to conclude with full justice.

“Kosovo and its institutions must do everything so that this process ends as it should, with full justice,” the statement concluded.
