Another Attack in the Strait of Hormuz: Tanker Hit by Projectile, Two Crew Members Injured

A tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz was hit on Monday by an unidentified projectile, lightly injuring two crew members.

The news was announced by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), which said it had received a report about the incident during the vessel’s inbound transit of this strategic waterway.

According to the announcement, two crew members sustained light injuries. Despite the incident, the tanker continued sailing under its own power toward its next port.

Military authorities have launched investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and the origin of the projectile.

So far, the tanker’s identity, its nationality, and the source from which the projectile was launched have not been disclosed.
