Avni Islami Warns of “Hybrid Warfare” Ahead of Verdict on KLA Leaders

Security expert Avni Islami has announced that less than 48 hours before the verdict on the KLA leaders is handed down, according to him, false statements and information about possible destabilizing developments in Kosovo have increased.

In a Facebook post, Islami claimed that “the propaganda machinery and Serbian intelligence services,” including the BIA, have been set in motion.

He said that “bombastic statements and fake news about fabricated unrest in Kosovo” are being spread through media and social networks.

According to Islami, this situation, accompanied also by recent Serbian army exercises near the border with Kosovo, constitutes “hybrid warfare.”

The security expert called on Kosovo’s citizens for calm, prudence and vigilance, urging them not to fall prey to provocations and false information.

“Do not fall prey to provocations and false information aimed at spreading panic,” Islami wrote.

He said the KIA and the Kosovo Police are on full alert, while warning that any attempt to undermine the constitutional order, according to him, will be neutralized immediately.

“The security of the Republic of Kosovo is unbreachable and guaranteed,” Islami wrote.
