Berisha: The return was emotional — let’s focus on the upcoming matches

Albanian national team goalkeeper Etrit Berisha spoke to FSHF.TV after the 2-0 victory over Belarus in the opening match of the Nations League.

“It was emotional, especially the beginning when I entered the stadium. It was a feeling, it felt like the first time. So I thank everyone, first the staff, all the players and all the fans who supported me as soon as I came out and made me feel very good.

“The team is a blend of more experienced players and young players. I think we played a smart match, even though we had a good opponent in front of us, especially in the first half. I think the group reacted very well, and especially those who came on in the second half gave an extraordinarily great contribution.

“First place in the group is the main objective, because we know we have quality. Now we need to concentrate because we have other matches too. This victory helps us a lot on this journey,” Berisha said.
