The Ronaldo case / Tension at the airport, fans against Portugal’s coach

Portugal received an undignified welcome on returning home, ahead of its next Nations League match.

Tensions escalated at Porto’s “Francisco Sá Carneiro” airport, where fans erupted against coach Jorge Jesus after his unexpected conflict with Cristiano Ronaldo; the team, which had arrived in the city to prepare for Sunday’s match against Norway at the “Estádio do Dragão” stadium, had to be escorted by police, who intervened to restore order.

As the team was leaving the terminal and heading toward the bus, a fan showered the coach with a barrage of insults.
