Bulgarian company Bulgargaz gets license for natural gas trade in Serbia — 10 years
The Bulgarian company Bulgargaz EAD has announced that Serbia’s Energy Agency has granted it a license for the wholesale trade of natural gas in Serbia for a 10-year period, paving the way for its official entry into the Serbian gas market, as the newspaper Danas reports.
According to the company’s announcement, the agency’s decision confirms that Bulgargaz meets all the conditions and requirements to conduct commercial activities in the Serbian gas market. The company emphasizes that the license is part of ongoing efforts to expand and strengthen its presence in regional markets and to increase opportunities for cross-border natural gas trade with Central and Southeastern European countries.
Bulgargaz already holds the necessary licenses and permits for natural gas trade and supply in Greece, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, while recently it has also expanded its presence in Moldova through the registered subsidiary Bulgargaz North, which has obtained a trading license there as well.
The company is a registered user of gas transmission infrastructure in Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Hungary and Ukraine, which guarantees it access to these markets and creates new opportunities for the development of cross-border natural gas trade in the region, Danas reports.
